Overview
The Sales Manager drives revenue growth for a specific region by identifying new business, conducting outreach to potential prospects, assessing needs and delivering a value proposition. This position will add new accounts to Mondee marketplace and cultivate and manage these relationships.
Role and Responsibilities
- Identify potential business opportunities across the assigned region by participating in trade events virtual and live, networking
- Conduct Business development sales calls, visits, video meeting and engage accounts
- Prepare value proposition by providing consultative sales and identifying account's needs
- Sign up new accounts to Mondee marketplace and onboard them effectively
- Generate revenue and drive growth by managing relationships, negotiations, training, and marketing with accounts across the region
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills to effectively negotiate agreements and maintain strong client relationships
- Stay updated with industry trends, market insights, and competitor activities to provide informed recommendations
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies, including cross-selling and upselling opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Travel across the region to visit clients and attend industry events as necessary
- Provide detailed reporting on sales activities and revenue forecasts for the region
- Conduct opportunity analysis to identify potential growth areas and recommend actionable strategies
- Prepare a detailed, prioritized regional sales plan on a quarterly basis to effectively cover all account opportunities in the territory
Desired Skills
- 6 -8 years' experience in sales and account management in the travel industry
- Demonstrated success managing a multi-city or multi-state sales territory
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable agreements/development plans to effectively drive revenue growth
- Solid understanding of the travel industry, including current trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences
- Team player with the ability to collaborate and coordinate efforts with internal stakeholders
- Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently to meet clients and attend industry and client events
- Results-oriented mindset with a strong drive to achieve and exceed targets
- Attention to detail and ability to generate accurate and insightful sales reports
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify growth opportunities and devise strategic plans
