Overview

The Director of Sales – Groups will own the revenue, growth, and overall performance of Mondee's Group bookings business and lead a sales team in a B2B environment driving sales, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with B2B clients.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Own the global/regional P&L for Mondee's Group bookings business – annual and multi-year revenue, margin, and growth targets
  • Define and execute the Group Sales strategy across segments
  • Personally lead the largest and most strategic group deals and customer relationships
  • Build, manage, and continually deepen strategic relationships with airline group desks and sales leadership
  • Secure preferred access to group inventory, waivers, and special terms
  • Expand supplier coverage by onboarding new airline partners and other group suppliers
  • Oversee the Group Desk operations
  • Partner with Operations, Product, and Technology on group platform capabilities, supplier integrations, and customer-facing group booking tools
  • Partner with the EVP, B2B Sales and field Sales leaders (Sales Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Directors of Sales) to identify group opportunities within their accounts
  • Provide regular reporting to the executive team on group revenue, supplier performance, and pipeline

Desired Skills

  • 10 plus years leading a sales team in a B2B environment with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role specifically focused on Group sales
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Established senior-level relationships with airline group desks and sales leadership
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to travel as required.
