Overview

The Director of Sales will own the B2B revenue for an assigned market or region and lead a sales team in a B2B environment within the travel agency industry driving sales, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with B2B clients.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the company's customer base within the B2B sector.
  • Lead the sales team, providing guidance, mentoring, and motivation to ensure they meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to enhance revenue streams and market presence.
  • Lead cross-sell and up-sell initiatives across Mondee marketplace products (Air, Hotel, Ancillaries, Fintech).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales strategies, promotional messages, and market research initiatives.
  • Represent Mondee at industry events, supplier conferences, and key customer engagements within the region.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and growth.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for senior management, highlighting performance metrics and areas for development.

Desired Skills

  • 10 plus years leading a sales team in a B2B environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales management within the travel industry, particularly in B2B sales.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to travel as required.
